This week's lunch food review took the Find Me Good Food staff to a hidden restaurant in a shopping center located just minutes from the Grossmont Center in La Mesa is the chic and cozy Banbu Sushi Bar & Grill. What really sets Banbu apart from other sushi restaurants is its extensive menu that includes more than just sushi and its calm and classy atmosphere.

There are plenty of Mexican Cuisine restaurants in San Diego but barely any Mexico City Cuisine restaurants north of the border in San Diego, and the "mom and pop" Ranas Mexico City Cuisine flourishes in its uniqueness and authenticity. Ranas' menu is full of dishes that can only be found at Ranas or in Mexico city, and has gathered a cult following with great customer service, fresh tastes, and robust flavor.

Wahoo's Fish Taco

For our lunch review this week we headed to the Hawaiian style fusion restaurant Wahoo's Fish Taco in Mission Valley. Immediately you can tell Wahoo's is unique; the restaurant looks more like a skate or surf shop you'd find by the beach than a place to grab tacos. And not just any regular tacos, Wahoo's sets itself apart by blending Brazilian, Mexican, and Asian style and taste into all of its menu items.

Himalayan Cuisine

This past week for lunch we traveled to a Nepalese and Indian theme restaurant named Himalayan Cuisine in La Mesa. Himalayan Cuisine presents a menu full of influences of Indian, Nepalese, and Tibetan food on its menu touting that most choices are healthy and perfect for those watching their weight. Himalayan matches its dishes with a style true to its origins: from the decor of the restaurant to the traditional style dress of the staff, making for all around authentic experience.
